    Lab Exercise

    Students will be asked to search online for information about themselves and answer questions related to the sources they used and how they gained the information. For example:

    Were you able to find your Age? Birthdate? Address? Hobbies? Interests?

    Were you surprised about how much of your personal information is public?

    Discussion Questions

    1. Using your sociological imagination, describe what forms of reconnaissance would be most effective for someone who shares your social location?
    2. Do you think your race and gender makes you more or less vulnerable to cyberattacks?
